Getting Started With The Yuwie Member Market
The Yuwie Member Market was introduced as a Beta feature in the middle of May, 2009. This game is a fun way to interact with other members and increase page views in the process. The premise of this game is really simple. You earn $200 in play money once every four hours that you are logged into Yuwie.
Your "Member Market Value" starts at $100. Every time you are bought, you are bought at a %5 premium. This premium is split between you and your current owner. The %2.5 you earn is added to you "Yuwie Market Value". The %2.5 your owner earns goes into his or her Member Market bank account.
To get to the Yuwie Member Market, click on the [Control Panel] link in the navigation link bar on the top of any Yuwie page. When your control panel opens up, click on the [Members Market] link in the left side control panel navigation menu.
This brings you to your Member Market page. In the middle of the page, you'll see your Member Market control panel. The first tab will be your Status Tab. This shows all of your recent member market activity, your "Member Market Value", your "Member Market Portfolio Value", and your "Member Market Bank Amount".
The second tab is the Portfolio Tab. In this area you'll see all the people that you currently own. The page also shows how long you have owned them, what their "Member Market Value" is, and how much their "Member Market Bank Amount" is. There is also a [release] link if you decide you no longer want to own them.
The third tab is the Rank Tab. In this area you'll see information about how you compare to others in the Yuwie Member Market. The values you can sort are your member market value, your portfolio value, and your bank value. You can toggle the comparison between your Yuwie friends and all of Yuwie.
The fourth tab is the Buy Tab. This section is not activated as of 17MAY09. The area states that if you want to buy someone, to visit their profile and click the [Purchase] link. If I were a betting man, I would think this area is reserved for a filter of some sort. Probably the main profile features such as Male/Female, Age, Location, Picture/No Picture, etc...
The fifth tab is the Earn Tab. This area has links to different offers and surveys that you can complete to earn more Yuwie Member Market play money. The added benefit is this increases the RSR for Yuwie, thus increasing how much money people can earn from Yuwie.
The Member Market is a fun way to interact with other members. The social interaction is a completely different way to meet other members on Yuwie. If you decide that you don't want to participate in the Member Market, there is an [Opt Out] link in the Status Tab of your Yuwie Member Market control panel.
